Which condition to use in?

A damaged tooth can be renewed with inlay or onley. If the half of chewing surface of big molar decays, onley is prefered instead of inlay.

How to be applied?

Tooth and surrounding tissue is anesthetized locally. Since inlays and onlaysa re prepared in the laboratory, it can be completed in two appointments. Considering remaining healthy dentition , dentist decides the making inlay or onlay.

In the first appointment, decay is cleared and then this tooth and surrounding tooths are measured. This tooth is covered with temporary filling material. The measurement is sent to the laboratory.

In the second appointment, we bring out the temporary stopping. The tooth is tried on and then sent to the laboratory for glazing. At the same time, the tooth is cleared. Inlay or onlay is attached to the tooth by using special adhesive. Closing is adjusted by dentist and making the polish.

What is the care after treatment?

It is required the mouth care which are to brush teeth, use dental floss and see the dentist periodically.

What are the risks?

If inlay and onlay touch on the salivary when adhering to, they can not adhere to the tooth completely. Porcelain inlay or onlay can be broken.
