Emergency in Dentistry

There could be a problem in teeth unexpectedly.In such situation , first aid is very important. Some simple treatment in such situation can prevent the big problem you could have later.

In which condition is emergency action required?

If there is a toothache, the food waste on and among the teeth should be cleared by tooth brush and dental floss and after puting an half spoon of salt in the half water glass, you should garge your mouth with this mixture. You should not put the aspirin and such pain killers on the aching tooth. Because such chemical drug irritates the gingiva and pith.So you can have an additional ache. If there is any panicula on the face because of the inflammation, you can apply cold pres on the panicula. If there is any cavity on the decayed teeth, you can put oil of cloves with cotton on it. It decrease the ache. But it should not be used overmuch.

Broken Tooth Considerations

Broken part should be kept if possible, in order to help the treatment.
You should g oto the dentist as soon as possible.
If there is any bleeding in this area, you should press this area with gauze bandage. Nevertheless, if the bleeding does not stop, please go to the nearest hospital.
Breaking the tooth, getting loose the tooth, wounding on the mouth tissue or concussion of the brain are generally caused in the sports activities. In such situation, especially for children , you should take some precautions.
If the tooth gets loose, by a little finger pres you should try to get it the own position of the tooth.

If a tooth put out, what to do?

If possible please find the tooth which put out. This tooth should be hold from the corona. The tooth is not hold from the rooth to prevent the damage of the root.Foreign material on the tooth should be washed with water. In this process, you should not brush or chafe the tooth. After these process, you should try to place the tooth. But you do not press much. It can cause a damage. If you put the tooth on the alveolar, to steady you can put a gauze bandage and then you should bite. After this first aid, you should g oto the dentist as soon as possible in order to prevent the damage of the tissue and to recover the tooth. If the tooth is not put on the alveolar, you should put the tooth in mil kor water until going to the dentist. Please do not forget, if the tooth is protected in a proper condition and reach it to the dentist in half an hour, the success percent in placing the tooth in to the alveolar is 90.

Wounding of Lip and Bucca

Injured tissue should be cleared with warm water. If there is a bleeding, you should pres with a gauze bandage. Outside of buca or lip, you should compress cold. If the wound is big and the bleeding can not be stopped, as soon as possible you should go to the dentist or hospital.

Bleedings After the Tooth Extraction

It is normal that there is a little bleeding after the extraction. But if there is an acute bleeding, you should go to the nearest dentist or hospital. If there is a leak bleeding, you should put a gauze bandage on to the extraction place and keep it a while. If bleeding continues, you should please go to the dentist or hospital.

Advices after the Tooth Extraction

After leaving the dentist, the gauze bandage should be kept by bitting. If there is a bleeding, an additional bandage can be put the extraction area. After extraction, it is normal that there is a leak bleeding during 4-6 hours. After extraction, you can lie down by keeping your head above. After extraction, during 2 hours you should not eat something and drink hot. You should not get alcohol or drugs which can increase the bleeding. If there is any proble (such as increasing the bleeding, having sharp ache), you should go to the dentist.
